Monticchiello delightful little Medieval borgo is in the township of Pienza, in the province of Siena.
A little Castle, perched on the top of a hill, seems to be another sentinel, like many others on the surrounding hills of the valley of the river Orcia. Here we have one of the most fascinating frescoes of Tuscany, made unique by the presence of the mount Amiata, seducing us with the authentic "mezze lune" glowing depending on the season.
